Mancherial, Oct 12: Task force police arrested 18 people in two separate gambling raids in Mancherial district late Sunday night. The operations took place in Naspur and ACC Colony.
In the first raid, police arrested eight people in Naspur. Officers seized ₹15,300 in cash, six mobile phones and three two wheelers.
The accused were identified as Muddasani Sadanandam, Ache Ravi, Padala Sanjeev, Nagapur Mahesh, Durgam Srinivas, Dantala Srinivas, Rajavarapu Venkateshwarlu and Jadala Rajamouli. All eight are residents of different parts of Naspur.
Mancherial Police Seize Cash and Vehicles in Second Raid
In the second incident, local police and task force personnel jointly apprehended 10 people at ACC Colony in Mancherial town.
Police seized ₹40,840 in cash, five motorcycles and 10 mobile phones from the accused.
The arrested persons were identified as Riyaz Ali, Karumuri Thirupathi, Nadipelli Madhukar, Madasu Abhilash, Allam Naresh, Bingi Shekhar, GK Saleem, Koppula Mallesh, Bandi Shekhar and Madineni Rajender.
Police handed them over to Mancherial police for further action.
Task force Sub Inspectors D. Ramesh, Tahseenuddin and Shravan participated in the raids.
