New Delhi, Oct. 25: Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal has praised non-resident Indians (NRIs) for their conduct abroad, saying Indians living overseas do not engage in riots or damage public and private property.
Goyal made the remarks during a meeting with members of the Indian community in Berlin, Germany, during his recent visit. He said Indians were recognised in many countries for not taking part in violent street protests or disrupting public order.
He also contrasted the conduct he attributed to Indians with unrest witnessed in parts of Europe.
