The city may soon have a forensic science laboratory dealing exclusively with cases related to crimes against women.
A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting convened by the Ministry of Women and Child Development with Police and Municipal Commissioners from eight cities — New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Lucknow – a few days ago.
