Modi Govt Partial Towards TS: KTR
Hyderabad, Jan.5 (Maxim News): The TRS Party leadership today lashed out at the Centre for showing step motherly attitude towards Telangana State. The BJP-led NDA Government was denying funds to the State but giving funds to other BJP-ruled States in the country, TRS working president KT Rama Rao today alleged.
Talking to mediapersons at Telangana Bhavan along with other leaders, KTR accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of showing partisan attitude towards Telangana State. Though it was spending 95 per cent of its funds for Polavaram national project in Andhra Pradesh, the Modi Government failed to accord national status to Kaleshwaram project in Telangana. Mission Bhagiratha and Mission Kakatiya got appreciation by all other States and also the Centre, he said.
However, the Modi Government failed to follow Niti Ayog recommendation to give Rs 24,000 crore to Telangana State, he alleged. The water scheme got two national awards and Scotch award, Union minister of State Arjun Meghwal said in Parliament of denying the funds. This can be attributed to the “mean mentality” of the NDA government, he charged. The Centre was insulting the Telangana by not extending support for people-oriented schemes, KTR said. If the Centre does the same, the BJP which lost 103 Assembly seats in the State will also lose the 17 MP seats in Telangana. The TRS MPs will fight for State issues, he added. (Maxim News)
