Hyderabad, June 10 (Maxim News): Telangana Government was planning to lay foundation stone for new Secretariat building complex on existing premises and officials concerned have speeded up process.
It is likely that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is to lay foundation for the new Secretariat on or before June 27. The officials of two Telugu States met with Chief Secretary SK Joshi in the Secretariat and discussed on the need for handing over AP buildings to Telangana on the premises. Joshi has asked the AP officials to hand over the buildings in seven days for speeding up the process.
According to the information, the Chief Secretary asked Premchandra Reddy of AP and Ramakrishna Rao of Telangana to expedite the process to hand over the offices from the buildings and the officials have already began shifting material from the offices. AP Secretariat buildings have to be handed over to Telangana GAD, Assembly buildings to Telangana Legislature Secretary and MLA Quarters to Estate officer.
The existing offices of Telangana Secretariat in A, B,C and D blocks will be shifted over to AP buildings of L, K J and two in H blocks (North and South) to construct the new secretariat. The officials consider auspicious timings only after three months if they failed to start the construction related works by June last week now. (Maixm News)
