Hyderabad, Nov.21 (Maxim News): Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA) Director Abhay has been appointed as Odisha Director General of Police. Abhay was the 31st Director of SVPNPA, a premier training institute of the country for the Indian Police Service and took charge in July. He is a 1986 batch IPS officer of Odisha cadre.
He was the head of the Odisha crime branch and special branch before working in CBI. He was Director (Training) in Bureau of Police Research and Development and also Additional DG (Training) in Central Reserve Police Force. Abhay had worked as the Director General of Narcotics Control Bureau from January 2018 to July 2019. (Maxim News)
