Telangana Kisan Congress Chairman Demands Govt To Buy Maize
Hyderabad, March 6 (Maxim News): Telangana Kisan Congress Chairman S. Anvesh Reddy said state government to buy maize crop without putting any kind of restrictions.
In a statement he alleged that there was no link between what the chief minister of the state was saying and what was being implemented at ground level. He also alleged that the ruling party leaders were posing for pictures at all the purchasing centers and cliaming that they would buy even a single seed from the farmers. He said that the authorities were imposing restrictions that they would only buy 25 quintals of maize from each farmer leaving the farmers in a state of utter shock.
He said that the imposition of such conditions would be big blow to the farmers who are already in a helpless conditions due to the ongoing lockdown. He also said that the farmers would get a yield of 40 quintals of maize per acre and added that the restriction imposed by the state government would create so many problems to the farmers.
He alleged that the state government had not procured gunny bags despite the knowledge that the paddy would come into market in the month of march. He also demanded the state government to purchase the paddy from the farmers at their fields. (Maxim News)
