Hyderabad, May 26 (Maxim News): Former Minister D. Sridhar Babu said state government order judicial inquiry into suicide of Seelam Rangaiah, who allegedly committed suicide at Manthani police station. He also demanded the home minister and DGP of the state to respond on the issue.
Addressing media persons at Gandhi Bhavan, he also demanded the state government to pay an ex-gratia of Rs.25 lakh to the family members of Rangaiah. He expressed his condolences at the death of the victim and added that the state had witnessed around 10 to 15 custodial deaths after its formation. He said that they had doubts over the mysterious death of the victim and demanded the state government to conduct the post mortem of the victim at either Gandhi hospital or Osmania General Hospital and added that the entire post mortem proceedings should be Video-graphed.
He claimed that Rangaiah had committed suicide as the police had warned him of slapping PD Act against him in a case related to wild life animals. (Maxim News)
