Covid-19: Telangana Records 1593 Positive Cases And 8 Deaths on Saturday

Hyderabad: Telangana reports 1593 new Corona Virus infected cases and eight fatalities on Saturday, which took the overall toll to 463 and the cumulative number of positive cases in the State to 54,059.
As many as 998 patients have recovered yesterday which has taken the overall tally of recoveries to 41,332 persons while the number of active Covid-19 positive cases in the State is 12, 264. The mortality rate, which is the number of persons who died for every 100 Covid-19 positive cases is 0.86 per cent in the State while the countrywide mortality rate is 2.3 per cent.
Between Friday and Saturday, 15,654 swab samples from suspected patients were tested while the overall number of samples tested so far is 3, 53, 425. At present, Telangana is testing 391 tests for a population of one million, according to the medical bulletin released on Sunday.
Out of the 1593 positive cases, the three districts that recorded maximum cases include areas under GHMC with 641 positive cases, 171 cases from Rangareddy district and 131 positive cases from Warangal Urban.
The Covid-19 positive cases reported from other districts include 14 from Adilabad, 17 from Bhadradri, two from Jagtiyal, 21 from Jangaon, three from Bupalapally, five from Gadwal, 36 from Kamareddy, 51 from Karimnagar, 18 from Khammam, 38 from Mahabubnagar, 29 from Mahabubabad, 27 from Mancherial, 21 from Medak, 91 from Medchal, 12 from Mulugu, 46 from Nagarkurnool, six from Nalgonda, seven from Narayanpet, one from Nirmal, 32 from Nizamabad, 16 from Peddapally, 27 from Siricilla, 171 from Rangareddy, 61 from Sangareddy, five from Siddipet, 22 from Suryapet, nine from Vikarabad, one from Wanaparthy, 21 from Warangal Rural, 131 from Warangal Urban and 11 from Yadadri.
