Hyderabad: An engineering student died in a wall collapse incident at SR Nagar on Wednesday.
According to the police, the man identified as Ashish (25) who was pursuing B.Tech and a resident of Sri Ram Nagar was walking on the road when a wall of a residential apartment collapsed. Ashish was crushed under the wall and death was instant for him.
The family of Ashish who grew suspicious when he did not return home for a long time approached the police.
Meanwhile, alerted about the wall collapse, the police with the help of GHMC personnel removed the debris and pulled out the body, said Anjaneyulu, sub inspector S R Nagar.
The SR Nagar police registered a case and are investigating. The body was shifted to mortuary where an postmortem examination was conducted on Thursday afternoon.
