TRS wins 6 MLCs seats in Local Bodies Quota

Hyderabad, Dec.14 (Maxim News): The TRS has won all six seats in five old districts in the state with the results announced. With this victory the ruling party bagged a total of 12 MLC seats so far. The results of the polls for MLC seats under local bodies, held on Dec 10, were announced today and the TRS got all the seats by defeating the congress at two places in Adilabad and Medak districts.

The TRS candidates won the MLC seats are — Bhanu Prasad (584 votes) and L Ramana (479 votes) won the two seats in Karim Nagar, Dande Vithal (667 votes) in Adilabad, Koti Reddy in Nalgonda, Yadava Reddy in Medak and Thatha Madhu (480 votes) in Khammam districts.

In Khammam district congress got 42, independent 2 and 12 invalid votes. Also in Nalgonda the TRS candidate got 917 , independents Nagesh 226, Lakshamaih 26, venkateshwarlu 6 and Ramsingh 5 votes respectively and 50 votes were invalid. In Medak TRS got 762 votes with 524 majority while congress got 238, independent 6 and 12 invalid votes, according to reports. (Maxim News)
