Fight Centre’s destructive policies, KCR tells States

Hyderabad, March 15 (Maxim News): Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today informed the Assembly that the Centre was adopting destructive and anti-federal policies leading to non-development of the States.

Giving his reply to the budget debate on the last day of seven days of the budget session, the leader of the house accused the BJP-led Government at the Centre of indulging in suppressing tactics against the State. “If the Centre supports without partiality and adopt better policies, our State development would have been much better”, he said. He called upon the States to fight the anti-people policies of the BJP Government and ensure welfare.

The Chief Minister extended thanks to the MIM’s Akbaruddin Owaisi, CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and TRS member Aruri Ramesh for their talk on the budget and suggestions. KCR claimed that with fiscal prudence, the State GDP and per capita income are far better than that of the Centre as per RBI and economic reports. He attributed the best policies and vision for development of all sectors to push industry and IT sectors. While Karnataka is able to export Rs 3 lakh cr a year IT exports, Telangana is second at the national level with Rs 1.48 lakh cr IT exports. “If the communal issues raked up by the BJP government or its allied groups no businessmen or companies will come to invest. Telangana is fast developing in all sectors and about 589 flights are operated from the Shamshabad Airport, he added.

The Chief Minister slammed the Centre for adopting destructive policies that will lead the nation to face shambles and the States should unite to fight communal, mob attacks, he said. The CM criticised the Union Government for Hijab row of communal strife in Karnataka and instructed the State machinery to suppress destructive forces. He attributed non-development of the country due to erratic policies, destructive attitude, moving on a wrong path by the Centre.

The Centre leading the nation to falling GDP and failed to achieve five trillion economy, anti- welfare and lopsided policies and showing partisan attitude towards the States, KCR. All other issues like Dharani, podu lands, Bhoodan lands and others will be addressed soon, he said. He also appealed to the House to support the Appropriate Bill of Rs 2.56 lakh crore for 2022-23 financial years for State development and welfare.

Earlier, Bhatti Vikramarkha, Akbaruddin and Ramesh appealed to the State government to fight with the Centre for our rights and demands. He also said as per administrative reforms, we plan to give options to VRAs in irrigation or other sectors as VROs system was cancelled. The tribunals are to resolve the disputes of the Krishna, Godavari Rivers to ensure our share of waters, he said. The Bachawat Tribunal verdict is equivalent to the judgment of the Supreme Court, he said. “The boards were set up undemocratically and we protested through letters and yet to get a reply from the Union Jalshakti Ministry”. He opposed the Centre for talking about linking up the two rivers which will hamper our interests. “Related verdict will protect our interests and water will not be shifted or diverted to other places and we will fight at SC level if necessary to protect Krishna and Godavari water. We will conduct a meeting to decide on the issue”, KCR said.

He also said Rs 3,000 honorarium will be given against the existing Rs 1,000 to 54,201 workers serving in the mid-day meals scheme in the schools in the State. (Maxim News)
