Tributes Paid to NTR

Hyderabad, May 28 (Maxim News): The rich tributes were paid to legendary film actor and former Chief Minister Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao on the occasion of his 100th birth anniversary celebrations at NTR Ghat here on Saturday.

NTR family members, leaders from various political parties, film personalities and other celebrities paid floral tributes to the actor.

Telangana Ministers Malka Reddy and Puvvada Ajay Kumar, Lok Sabha Member Nama Nageshwar Rao and former Minister Mothkupalli Narsimhulu, who have started their political career in the Telugu Desham Party, also visited the NTR Ghat and paid tributes to the departed soul.

On the occasion, TRS MP Nama Nageshwar Rao said he was feeling a great honour to take part in the birth centenary celebrations of NTR and vowed that he would strive hard on the behalf of the TRS party demanding the announcement of Bharat Ratna to late NTR.

Minister Malla Reddy said the late NTR is deserved to the Bharat Ratna, the country’s highest civilian award, and urged the union government to confer Bharat Ratna on NTR for his contribution to the uplift of poor and needy sections.

Meanwhile, Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao garlanded to the statue of NT Rama Rao in Warangal on the occasion of his birth centenary celebrations. He recollected NTR’s contribution to the film industry as well as the country.

“NTR left an indelible mark on the film industry as well as the political scene. NTR was reputed across the globe for his untiring efforts to spread the message of Telugu self respect and pride,” Errabelli said.

On the other hand, former union minister Purandeswari, who is also a daughter of late NTR, said that his family was in touch with Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to print the photograph of NTR on a ₹100 coin. (Maxim News)
