Don’t Fall in Trap of Land Mafia: Dayakar Rao

Warangal, May 31 (Maxim News): Minister for Panchayat Raj Errabelli Dayakar Rao urged the farmers not to fall in the trap of the land mafia who have allegedly provoked farmers against the land pooling process in Warangal.

With farmers intensifying the protest against the land acquisition, the State government on Monday night cancelled the land pooling process for the 41-km Warangal Outer Ring Road with immediate effect. The KUDA had commissioned survey work covering 28 villages in three districts of Hanamkonda, Warangal and Jangaon for the development of the ORR which had led to a series of protests by farmers in the region.

Speaking at a press conference here on Tuesday, Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao said that any injustice is done to farmers as long as K Chandrasekhar Rao is the Chief Minister of the State.

“KCR himself is a farmer. He as the Chief Minister of the State has initiated many schemes for the welfare of farmers, including Rythu Bandu and Rythu Beema. KCR doesn’t do any harm to another farmer. The decision of land pooling has taken for the development of Warangal district.

If farmers are having any issues, the government is ready to discuss with them. Whatever the decision is taken by the government that keeps in mind for the development of farmers,” Errabelli pointed out.

The Minister also alleged that some political parties and land mafia eliments joined the protests and misguided the farmers against the State government.

He appealed to farmers not to believe the words of other political parties and land mafia eliments and not to sell their lands at lowest price.

Wardhannapet MLA Aroori Ramesh welcomed the State government’s decision of withdrawing the land pooling and thanked the Chief Minister for taking the decision in favour of farmers. On the occasion, he felicitated Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao for taking initiative in this regard. (Maxim News)
