Shabbir Ali urges Haj pilgrims in Mecca to pray for peace in Telangana & nation

Hyderabad, June 23 (Maxim News): Senior Congress leader and former minister Mohammed Ali Shabbir has requested the Haj pilgrims to pray for peace and prosperity in the country, especially In Telangana, during their holy pilgrimage.

Shabbir Ali was speaking at the Haj House, Nampally while giving a warm send-off to the third batch of Haj pilgrims from Telangana late on Wednesday night. He was accompanied by senior Congress leaders, including Sameer Waliullah, Syed Nizamuddin, Anil Kumar Yadav, Wajid Hussain, Maqsood Ahmed, Mateen Shareef, Osman Mohammed Khan, Jawed Siddiqui and others.

Speaking on the occasion, Shabbir Ali advised the Haj pilgrims to stay focused on prayers during their stay in the holy cities of Mecca and Madina. “When you look at the Holy Kaaba for the first time after entering the Masjid-e-Haram, pray with your heart and in the language you better understand. Allah knows what is in your heart and he accepts the prayers made with the heart,” he advised.

Shabbir Ali congratulated the Haj pilgrims for their holy journey which makes them the ‘Guests of Allah’. He said the pilgrims from India could not perform Haj for the last two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic. He said the last wish of thousands of Muslims of performing Haj could not get fulfilled due to Covid. Therefore, he said, all those performing Haj this year were highly fortunate and they must utilize the occasion to get their prayers answered.

The Congress leader advised the Haj pilgrims to avoid using mobile phones during the pilgrimage. He said the pilgrims should use their mobile phones only when necessary and stay focused on prayers while spending most of the time in the Masjid-e-Haram. Ali said India has been experiencing difficult times due to the rising instances of communal hatred and violence. “I appeal to all the Haj pilgrims to pray for peace in the country. You must pray for a change of heart for all those who are spreading hatred. Everyone should spread love and ensure peaceful co-existence,” he added. (Maxim News)
