Kodandaram asks CM KCR to quit from his post if he is not able to govern Telangana

Hyderabad, Sept.3 (NSS): The founder president of Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) party Professor M. Kodandaram today came down heavily on Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and asked the CM to quit from his post if he is not able to govern the state properly. He made these remarks after consoling the family members of the victims of family planning surgeries.

Speaking on the occasion, Kodandaram said that it was unfortunate four women died after the botched up family planning surgeries and added that the incident of the deaths of the four women was a classic example to highlight the inefficient rule of the CM. Stating that the state government is spending only 3 per cent of its annual budget on the health sector of the state, he asked the state government as to how it would improve the basic infrastructure in the hospitals of the state? He also asked the state government as to what prompted it to conduct 34 family planning surgeries in a hasty manner? He alleged that the doctors of Ibrahimpatnam government hospital did not provide proper medicines to the patients after their surgeries.

Stating that the CM should take up moral responsibility for the botched up family planning surgeries, he demanded KCR to immediately expel state health minister T. Harish Rao from his cabinet. He warned the CM that they would not keep mum if he played with the lives of the people of the state. He demanded KCR to conduct a comprehensive inquiry into the tragic incident and take stringent action against those who are responsible for it. He also demanded the CM to pay a compensation amount of Rs. 1 crore to the family members of the victims. He advised the CM to focus on the problems of the state by setting aside his plans of venturing into national politics, Alleging that the CM is resorting to corruption in Telangana, Kodandaram said that the CM was facing allegations of having a role in ESI scam.
