A Minute Late, Several Group 2 Aspirants Not Allowed To Write Exam

The Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) scheduled the Group-II recruitment exam Paper-I from 10 am to 12.30 pm.  Candidates were asked to reach centers one and a half hours before the commencement of the exam as gates would close at 9.30 am.

However, many arrived at centers after the gates were closed. Despite numerous appeals to the centers’ officials, several candidates were denied entry to appear for the exam, for which they toiled hard for several years.

One latecomer made a fervent appeal to Telangana Public Service Commission Chairman Burra Venkatesham, who arrived at a center in the city to oversee the conduct of the exam, stating that she was only late by five minutes.

It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to appear for the recruitment examination.  The TGPSC has already informed candidates that gates will be closed 30 minutes prior to the exam’s commencement,”  He told the aspirant who was left disappointed for not being able to appear for the exam.

A total of 5,51,847 candidates have registered for the recruitment exam.  The TGPSC had notified 783 Group-II vacancies.  (Maxim News)
