Afzalgunj Police Arrest Inter-State Gang, Recover Stolen Bike in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Nov 21: The Afzalgunj Police have arrested an inter-state gang of offenders involved in vehicle thefts and house burglary attempts, and recovered a stolen Honda Shine motorcycle from their possession. The arrests were made on Friday morning following swift action by the crime team of Afzalgunj Police Station.

According to the police, the case began on 19 November 2025, when complainant Dasa Sai Kumar, a resident of Ashok Bazar, Afzalgunj, reported that his brother’s Honda Shine (TS09 EY 9868) had been stolen from their residential parking area. He had parked the bike on the night of 18 November and discovered it missing the next morning.

Acting on the complaint, a team led by SHO N. Ravi, Detective Inspector B. Ravi Kiran, DSI V. Narender Reddy, and crime staff members swung into action. On 21 November 2025 at 9:30 AM, the police apprehended three suspects, who later confessed to the theft and admitted that they had also attempted burglaries at two houses by breaking open locks.

Accused Persons Identified

The arrested individuals were identified as:

A1) Sikligar Kirtipal Sinh, 40, key maker, resident of Vadodara, Gujarat
A2) Surjeet Singh, 45, key maker, resident of Indore, Madhya Pradesh
A3) Balvir Singh, 28, key maker, resident of Indore, Madhya Pradesh

The police recovered the stolen Honda Shine (TS09 EY 9868) related to Crime No. 462/2025 (PS Afzalgunj). Additionally, several tools and articles used for committing offences were seized, including scissors-made keys, woolen gloves, mobile phones, a file tool, and a knife measuring 31 cm.

Confessed & Previous Cases

The gang confessed involvement in:

  1. Cr No. 462/2025 – PS Afzalgunj
  2. Cr No. 271/2025 – PS Sultan Bazaar
  3. Cr No. 312/2025 – PS Narayanguda

Police records also show that the accused have extensive criminal histories in Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, and Hyderabad, with several cases of housebreaking, theft, and related offences registered against them.

Gang Came to Hyderabad for Burglaries

Police said the trio arrived in Hyderabad with a plan to commit house burglaries across multiple localities. They stayed at a lodge in Secunderabad and allegedly stole the motorcycle to use it for mobility during their operations. Although they attempted burglaries in the limits of Sultan Bazaar and Narayanguda, they failed to secure valuable property.

Officials stated that timely action prevented the gang from executing further crimes and fleeing to their home states.

Police Team Appreciated

The efforts of DSI V. Narender Reddy and the crime staff — PC J. Jithender, Md Suleman, G. Srikanth, Vishal Kumar, HC Md Yaseen Shareef, and HC Srikanth Bidla — were commended by senior officers for successfully detecting the vehicle theft and house burglary attempts.

The arrests were made under the supervision of Dr. B. Balaswamy, IPS, DCP East Zone, J. Narsaiah, Addl. DCP East Zone, and M. Mattaiah, ACP Sultan Bazaar Division.
