Speaking on the issue of demolitions, Akbaruddin Owaisi drew a comparison with Uttar Pradesh. He said, “In Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath uses bulldozers. In Telangana, the same thing is happening.” He further alleged that the demolitions are targeting Muslims.

His remarks come amid ongoing political exchanges between the AIMIM and the ruling Congress government in the state. However, Owaisi directly linked the demolition drives to what he described as a pattern similar to the approach adopted in Uttar Pradesh under Yogi Adityanath.

According to the AIMIM leader, the actions taken in Telangana reflect what he termed as the “Yogi model.” He suggested that such measures are being replicated in the state. Moreover, he claimed that the affected groups belong to the Muslim community.

The Congress government has not been quoted in this context. Meanwhile, the remarks are likely to intensify the political debate in Telangana. The comparison with Uttar Pradesh has added a sharper tone to the ongoing criticism. (Maxim News)
