Hyderabad, Nov 21 (Maxim News): Boxer Nikhat Zareen ( nikhat-zareen) has once again shaken the dust. She shined with gold, proving her palm. In the World Cup Boxing ( boxing) final yesterday, Nikhat defeated Chinese Taipei girl Gao Yi Xuan 5-0 in the 51 kg category. Nikhat, who counter attacked her opponent from the first round, came out with sharp punches. She continued the same momentum till the end and easily won. This Telangana girl Nikhat, who lost in the quarters in the World Championship, proved herself again.
Nikhat’s gold brings India’s tally to eight gold medals in World Cup boxing. Jasmine Lamboria of China defeated Chinese Taipei’s Wuyi, the bronze medalist in Paris in 57 kg, while Parveen Hooda defeated Japanese athlete Taguchi Ayaka in 60 kg. Nupur Sharon defeated Uzbekistan’s Sotimboyeva in 80 kg. Arundhati Chaudhary defeated Uzbekistan’s Aziza in 70 kg. Preeti Panwar defeated Italy’s Sirin in 54 kg and Meenakshi Hooda defeated Faosiliva in 48 kg to win gold medals. In the men’s 70 kg final, Hitesh Gulia defeated Kazakhstan’s Norbek. Sachin Siwach defeated Munarbek in 60 kg to win the gold. As for the silver medals, Jadumani Singh in the 50 kg category, Ankush in the 80 kg category, Pawan in the 55 kg category, Abinash in the 65 kg category, and Pooja Rani in the 80 kg category lost in the final and won the silver medals. Jadumani lost to Asilbek (Uzbekistan) and Pawan lost to Samandar (Uzbekistan). Abinash lost to Nishiyama (Japan) and Ankush lost to Oladmiz (England). India finished the tournament on top with a total of 20 medals (9 gold, 6 silver, and 5 bronze) as Arundhati sailed into the hands of Agata (Poland).
