April 8: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy held a high-level meeting with officials on Thursday and directed them to focus more on covid vaccination. “Another lockdown will have adverse impact on state’s finances,” he told officials and stated that Andhra Pradesh suffered a loss of Rs 21,000 crore because of nationwide lockdown imposed to stop the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

The CM directed the police officials to be strict with those who are not wearing face masks in public places. Jagan Reddy directed the health officials to ensure 4 lakh vaccine doses are made available every day in rural areas and 2 lakh doses in urban centres.
