Hyderabad, June 27: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said the Sanjeevani scheme aims to provide comprehensive healthcare services to all citizens and announced that it will be expanded across the State from August 15.
The Chief Minister inaugurated the Sanjeevani Digital Nerve Center at Kishtamsettypally in Giddalur mandal of Markapuram district on Saturday and addressed a public gathering.
Naidu said the government was implementing election commitments and highlighted welfare measures introduced for women, farmers and education.
Sanjeevani Scheme To Expand Across Andhra Pradesh
The Chief Minister described the Sanjeevani scheme as a major initiative to improve healthcare delivery and provide faster medical services.
He said services would increasingly become accessible at the household level and termed the programme a transformational step in public healthcare.
Naidu also said government schools had recorded higher admissions and claimed that many students had shifted from private institutions.
Speaking on broader development priorities, he said Polavaram remained critical to Andhra Pradesh and stressed the importance of water management and river interlinking.
He also encouraged students to develop skills in emerging fields such as quantum technologies and artificial intelligence.
During the speech, Naidu criticised the previous YSRCP government over governance, infrastructure and development issues and accused it of weakening institutions.
He also responded to recent political remarks involving leaders of the opposition and reiterated that the government would act firmly against inappropriate conduct toward women.
The Chief Minister said the government’s focus remains on welfare delivery, development and long term growth across Andhra Pradesh.
