Hyderabad : A delegation of Telangana Urdu Working Journalists’ Federation met AIMIM President and MP Hyderabad Barrister Asaduddin Owaisi at Darussalam on Tuesday.
The delegation headed by the state general secretary Syed Ghouse Mohiuddin and Convenor small & medium newspapers committee SSK Hussaini Iqbal brought to the notice of Mr. Owaisi the problems faced by small & medium Urdu newspapers esp. who are operating in the state of Telangana.
The delegation requested for the amendment of G.O. 239 to relax the norms for recognition and the ease out difficulties in getting accreditation cards, health cards.
Senior Owaisi instructed his party MLAs to raise the issue in the Legislative Assembly during Zero Hour upon which Bahadurpura MLA Mouzam Khan asked the government to support small newspapers. On behalf of Govt Home Minister Mahmood Ali responded and promised to take appropriate steps in this direction.
Further, Asaduddin Owaisi assured the delegation to take their problems to the state government and make the government come out with the suitable solutions.
