Hyderabad, April 25 (Maxim News): It is known that RTC workers and staff have taken to the streets to protest and sound the strike siren to fulfill their demands. The government, which came to terms with the agitation of the RTC workers, held talks with them in a positive atmosphere and ended the strike. After the Congress government came to power, the free bus scheme for women has already created a situation where auto drivers are unable to earn enough to support their families. In this context, auto drivers have recently taken to the road of agitation.
Auto drivers staged a protest at the MJ Market intersection. They protested against the increase in auto meter charges and against district autos being allowed to enter Hyderabad. As the agitation intensified, an auto driver attempted suicide by pouring diesel on them. The police and fellow drivers stopped him there.
Auto drivers have been protesting for an hour, chanting slogans like “CM down down“. Traffic on major routes has come to a standstill due to the protest and vehicles are stuck at a heavy standstill. (Maxim News)
