Bag Creates Bomb Scare in Old City Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Bag creates panic at Shahalibanda new road, near Goutham School in Old City area of Hyderabad here on Tuesday afternoon.

The police who noticed the suspicious bag lying on the roadside immediately alerted the bomb disposal squad of the city police.

A team along with a sniffer dog rushed to the spot and with the assistance of the local police cordoned off the area.The police heaved a sigh of relief after the team managed to open the bag and found a pair of clothes and some other articles in the bag.

“The bag had fallen on the road from an auto rickshaw which was on the move. On information our patrol vehicles rushed to the place and informed the anti-sabotage teams. On checking clothes were found in the bag,” said Ramesh Kotwal, SHO Hussainialam police station.
