Hyderabad, May 22 (Maxim News): The High Court of Telangana has made it clear that no relief can be granted in favor of the petitioners in the case filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the Nagaram Bhoodan land scam case.
It has been revealed that this is a crime related to a land scam with serious charges. Key accused Munawar Khan and Khader Unnisa have filed a quash petition in the High Court seeking quashing of the case registered against them by the ED. A bench of Justice Narsing Rao took up the matter.
On this occasion, the ED lawyer argued that no interim order should be given in the case as there are serious charges, large-scale land encroachment and financial irregularities worth Rs. 100 crores. He asked the ED to be given an opportunity to file a counter with complete details.
After hearing the arguments, the bench made it clear that no interim order can be given in the context of public interest and serious charges. It issued notices to the ED to provide an explanation to this extent and adjourned the hearing to June. (Maxim News)
