Hyderabad, Oct. 23: BJP MP Dharmapuri Arvind has predicted a “saffron tsunami” in Telangana, claiming that the party will win the 2028 Assembly elections and form the government independently.
Arvind made the remarks while addressing a press conference in Nizamabad. He dismissed suggestions that the BJP had become inactive in Telangana and asserted that the party was strengthening its political activities across the state.
He also ruled out electoral alliances, stating that the BJP would contest the next Assembly elections on its own.
Dharmapuri Arvind Targets Congress and BRS
Arvind alleged that the Congress and BRS were exploring a secret political understanding. He claimed that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy was an obstacle to a possible arrangement between the two parties.
The BJP MP also alleged that the Congress high command was dissatisfied with Revanth Reddy. However, he did not establish these claims in the reported remarks.
Targeting the previous BRS government, Arvind accused its leaders of corruption linked to the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project. These allegations were part of his political criticism.
He also criticised the BRS’s social media campaigns and took a personal dig at working president K.T. Rama Rao over his beard, saying it would not help him become Chief Minister.
Arvind further predicted that internal differences would weaken the ruling Congress in Telangana. He maintained that the BJP was preparing to emerge as the dominant political force in the state in 2028.
His remarks signal the BJP’s intention to contest the next Telangana Assembly elections independently and challenge both the Congress and BRS.
