Hyderabad, Sept. 6 (Maxim News): Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Director Praveen Sood has been admitted to a hospital in Jubilee Hills after falling ill on Friday. He is currently undergoing treatment at Apollo Hospital.
Sood had arrived in Hyderabad earlier in the day and later visited Srisailam, where he offered prayers.
However, he developed health complications on his way back to the city and was shifted to the hospital for medical care.
Local CBI officials were scheduled to meet him at the Police Academy in Hyderabad on Saturday. The meeting carried particular importance as the Telangana government has sought a CBI inquiry into alleged irregularities in the Kaleshwaram project. With Praveen Sood’s sudden illness, there is now uncertainty over whether the meeting will take place as planned.
