Hyderabad Bids Farewell To Khairatabad Ganesh, Idol Immersion Concludes At 1.45 PM

Hyderabad, Sept 6 (Maxim News): Thousands of devotees gathered on Saturday to bid farewell to the 69-ft Khairatabad Ganesh idol. After a long procession and final prayers, the 300-tons idol was immersed in Hussain Sagar at 1.30 PM using the Baahubali crane.

Amid chants of “Ganpati Bappa Morya‘, devotees in large numbers bade farewell to the 69-ft-tall Khairatabad Ganesh idol with immersion at Hussain Sagar on Saturday at 1.30 pm.

Though planned for immersion by noon, it was delayed due to processes involved in dismantling the massive idol’s iron structure and placing it on the ‘Baahubali‘ crane platform. It was a massive turn out of devotees all along the procession route from Khairatabad till the immersion point.
