It is expected that this time the funds will be available as expected.  It has also decided to finalize the state budget by the Central budget allocation.

Recently, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy also appealed to Prime Minister Modi that Telangana is facing a severe injustice due to the lack of full funds under grants from the Center for the past three years. Funds should be allocated to all states in proportion to their population through central schemes.  But, Telangana is not getting according to it.  For example in the 2023024 budget, the Center has released Rs. 4.60 lakh crore under Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) to all the states, but Telangana has received only 1.4 percent i.e. Rs. 6577 crores, according to the state finance department.

However, according to the calculation, under 3 percent around Rs. 14 thousand crores are expected to come.  In Last year’s state budget, the state estimated that Rs. 41,259 crores will come as grants from the center.  In the end, only Rs. 9,729 crores were received and the funds could not be spent in various departments as predicted.  To prevent this from happening this time, efforts are being made to formulate the state budget with accurate estimates of how much funds will come from the Centre.

Telangana has prepared a list of various projects and institutions to be established in the state with the support of the Centre.  Based on the funds coming from there, the state government is thinking of starting these.
