Hyderabad, March 31: Elections for Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson posts in three municipalities will take place on April 4. The Chairperson polls April 4 will be held in Ibrahimpatnam, Kyatanpally and Khanapur, according to officials.
I Rani Kumudini, the State Election Commissioner, stated that the elections are scheduled to begin at 12.30 pm on the given date. Meanwhile, authorities have also made arrangements in case the polls cannot be conducted as planned. If any issue arises, officials will hold the elections on April 5.
Officials have already started preparations for the process. Therefore, District Collectors and concerned authorities have been directed to issue notices. These notices will call for a special meeting to conduct the elections. The meeting is scheduled to be convened on April 2.
Meanwhile, the election process will follow a set sequence on the polling day. Before the voting begins, officials will conduct the swearing-in ceremony of elected ward members. This ceremony will take place at 11 am on April 4. Only after this step, the election for Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson posts will proceed.
