CM Inspects Mid Manair Reservoir, Offers Prayers At Raja Rajaswara Temple

Hyderabad, Dec.30 (Maxim News): Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao visited Rajanna Siricilla district inspected Mid Manair (Sri Raja Rajeswara) reservoir and offered prayers at Vemulawada Raja Rajeswara Temple.

KCR, along with his family members, traveled in a special bus to Vemulawada temple, and offered pujas at Raja Rajeshwari temple. The priests and officials accorded a welcome to them with ‘poornakumbham’. After offering pujas, the Chief Minister had discussions with the priests and officials on temple development works.

KCR later proceeded to Mid Manair reservoir and inspected it. He offered prayers to river Godavari there. Probably for the first time, the reservoir was full with water to its capacity, as water was pumped from Kaleswaram lift irrigation scheme. At Thangellapally bridge, he offered ‘Haarathi’ to the waters. He also visited the project site in Boinpally mandal. KCR expressed happiness that Mid Maner has received 2.4 TMC waters from Kaleshwaram project. KCR inspected works at Ananthasar and Mallannasagar works also. He instructed the officials to complete the works early.

Ministers KT Rama Rao, Etela Rajender, Indrakaran Reddy, Gangula Kamalakar and officials accompanied the chief Minister in the tour.

Protest

As the Chief Minister’s convey was proceeding towards Mid Manair, some of the people whose lands came under submergence of the project suddenly came on the road and tried to stop the vehicles, shouting protest slogans. But, the alert police present there, pushed them aside and allowed to convey to proceed. (Maxim News)
