Hyderabad, May 9 (Maxim News): Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy announced that the Telangana government has decided to revise land prices across the state.
The minister said the Cabinet had taken the decision to regularise land values in areas where there were major differences between market prices and official registration values.
He stated that the government was also taking steps to manage the growing rush for property registrations and ensure that people do not face inconvenience at registration offices.
Officials were instructed to make special arrangements for the public visiting Sub Registrar offices for registrations.
Working hours extended in 15 Sub Registrar offices
Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy said working hours would be extended from 9.30 am to 6.30 pm starting May 12 in 15 high demand Sub Registrar offices.
The offices include Champapet, Saroornagar, Vanasthalipuram, Gandipet, Maheshwaram, Farooqnagar, Shadnagar, Rangareddy Rural, LB Nagar, Serilingampally, Sangareddy, Ghatkesar, Nalgonda RO, Patancheru and Quthbullapur.
The minister said the government was ready to further increase working hours if required in these offices.
He also directed officials to increase the number of slot bookings to meet public demand and reduce waiting time.
Authorities were asked to identify other Sub Registrar offices facing heavy registration rush and extend working hours there as well.
The minister instructed officials to coordinate with Tahsildar offices where agricultural land registrations are carried out.
Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy said the government was focusing on transparency, faster services and public convenience in the registration process. He directed Registration Department IG Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu to implement measures accordingly. (Maxim News)
