Hyderabad, Oct. 1 (Maxim News) : Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) has launched a dedicated WhatsApp helpline for residents to report civic issues and seek the authorities’ intervention.
CMC Commissioner G Srijana launched the initiative on Wednesday. Residents across the corporation’s 76 divisions can use the facility to report civic problems directly to officials. Residents can report issues related to sanitation, roads, parks, stormwater drains, garbage clearance and streetlights.
Complaints related to property tax, certificates and unsafe buildings can also be submitted through the initiative.
People can send their complaints to the WhatsApp number 90634 21347.
Officials have asked residents to provide a clear description of the problem along with its location. Where possible, residents should also share the Google Maps location, photographs or videos of the issue. This will help officials identify the exact location and take follow-up action.
CMC WhatsApp Complaints Open Until October 7
The civic body said the initiative aims to identify pending public issues at the field level and facilitate their resolution. Residents can also use the platform to highlight locations that may require direct inspection by the Commissioner. The complaint window is open from September 30 to October 7.
Residents within the CMC limits have been encouraged to make use of the facility instead of visiting municipal offices for every civic complaint. Cyberabad Municipal Corporation currently covers 76 wards across three zones — Serilingampally, Kukatpally and Quthbullapur. (Maxim News)
