Hyderabad: Telangana reports 661 fresh coronavirus cases and three deaths until 8 pm on Saturday taking the cumulative number of cases to 2,57,374 and death toll to 1404.
Meanwhile, the recovery count went up to 2,40,545 with the recovery of 1,637 new persons in the last 24 hours. At present, there are 15,425 active cases out of which 12,899 are in home or institutional isolation.
Between Friday and Saturday, around 21,264 tests were conducted including 9,356 on primary contacts and 2,551 on secondary contacts. However, the results of 661 came positive and the reports of 457 are awaited. So far, 48,74,433 tests have been conducted in the state since the pandemic.
The positive cases reported include 167 from GHMC, 57 from Rangareddy, 45 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 34 from Nalgonda, 29 from Bhadradri Kothagudem, 28 from Sangareddy, 24 from Karimnagar, 23 from Siddipet, 22 from Mahabubabad, 21 from Warangal Urban, 19 from Khammam, 17 from Mancherial, 15 from Nizamabad, 14 from Suryapet, 12 each from Mulugu and Warangal Rural, 11 from Mahabubnagar, 10 each from Adilabad, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, 9 from Wanaparthy, 8 from Jogulamba Gadwal, 7 each from Vikarabad and Medak, 6 from Peddapalli, 4 from Jangaon, 3 from Kamareddy, 2 each from Yadadri Bhongir, Komarambheem Asifabad, and Rajanna Sircilla, zero cases from Narayanpet.
