Coronavirus: Minister Harish Rao In Quarantine

Telangana finance minister Harish Rao and 16 of his staff members are put in quarantine at his residence in Hyderabad after the minister’s PA tested positive of coronavirus on Thursday.

Rao is said to have last met the PA five days ago at his office who later developed the symptoms of coronavirus. He was tested positive on Thursday. The PA was shifted to Yashoda Hospital in Secunderabad. After knowing about the development, Harish Rao and 16 other staffers at is office sent their samples for testing. It is learned that the minister will be in quarantine for a week and will be attending his work through a video-conference.

On Friday, he participated in the GST council meeting convened by the Union finance minister Nirmala Seetharaman from his home through the video-conference.

Anitha Ramachandran, district collector of Yadadri and Venkataramareddy, Siddipet district collector have gone into self-quarantine after coming in contact with two persons separately who later tested positive for coronavirus.
