The total coronavirus tally in Telangana reached 2,77,724 with fresh 573 positive cases registered on Saturday and the recovery count went up to 2,68,601 with 609 new recoveries in the state. Meanwhile, the total fatalities touched 1,493 with four new deaths. At present, there are 7,630 active cases out of which 5,546 are in home or institutional isolation.
Between Friday and Saturday, around 47,186 samples were tested including 20,761 on primary contacts and 5,662 on secondary contacts. However, the result of 573 samples came positive and the reports of 613 are awaited.
The positive cases registered across the state include 127 from GHMC, 67 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 58 from Rangareddy, 33 each from Warangal Urban and Khammam, 22 from Karimnagar, 19 from Bhadradri Kothagudem, 17 from Sangareddy, 15 each from Siddipet and Yadadri Bhongir, 14 from Suryapet, 12 each from Nalgonda and Mancherial, 11 from Mulugu, 9 each from Jagtial, Warangal Rural, Mahabubnagar, Jagtial, 8 from Nizamabad, 7 each from Adilabad, Jangaon, Jayashankar Bhupalapally and Rajanna Sircilla, 6 each from Mahabubabad, Nagarkurnool, Medak and Nirmal, 5 from Komarambheem Asifabad, 4 from Narayanpet, 3 from Vikarabad, 1 from Jogulamba Gadwal and zero cases from Wanaparthy.
