CPI Leader Starts Fast Unto Death— Support RTC Staff Strike

Hyderabad, Oct.26 (Maxim News): Former MLA and CPI state leader Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao today started a fast unto death programme at Maqdoom Bhavan here, in support of the striking TSRTC employees. Veteran party leader Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy launched the programme and sat along with Rao.

Speaking on the occasion Reddy alleged that the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was conspiring to end the corporation and siphon off all its valuable assets. He reminded the Chief Minister that the corporation was not a commercial organisation but a public transport corporation.

Sambasiva rao said that the attitude of KCR towards the RTC workers, who fought relentlessly for the formation of separate Telangana state, was not proper. He said that it was not good on the part of the CM to threaten to remove everybody who went on strike. He declared that he would continue his fast unto death till the demands of the workers were met.
