CPM To Contest Alone In Assembly Elections

Hyderabad, Nov 2 (Maxim News): CPM State Secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram said that in the coming Telangana Assembly elections, there will be no alliance with the Congress party and added that his party is planning to contest in all 24 seats  He announced the 17 constituencies in which the CPM will contest.

speaking to the media persons, today, he said that the names of the remaining positions and candidates will be finalised in two to three days.  Apart from Bhadrachalam and Ashwarao Peta, they will contest 5 seats in Khammam district, 3 seats in Nalgonda, and 2 seats in Suryapet districts.

Veerabhadram expressed his displeasure with the attitude of the Congress.  We asked the Congress to give the Waira seat to the CPM, initially, we asked to give Bhadrachalam and Palem.  However, Congress said that they would give the Wyra and Miryalaguda, and after that, they said that they were not ready to give the Waira.  As part of the discussion, we came down many steps.  Congress is now saying that they will give one seat in Hyderabad along with Miryalaguda.  congress seems to think that there is no alliance with us.  Applause comes only when two hands are joined.  The attitude of the Congress leaders hurt the CPM a lot.  CPM will not have an alliance with Congress as it does not value commitments.  Tammineni Veerabhadram said that CPM is thinking of contesting separately without an alliance.

the first list of the contesting seats 1) Bhadrachalam (ST), 2) Aswaraopet (ST), 3) Palair 4) Madhira (SC), 5) Wyra (ST), 6) Khammam, 7) Sathupalli (SC0, 8) Miryalagudem 9) Nalgonda 10) Nakrekal (SC), 11) Bhuvanagiri 12) Huzurnagar 13) Kodad 14) Jalgaon (15) Ibrahimpatnam 16) Patancheru 17) Musheerabad  (Maxim News)
