Hyderabad, Oct.10 (Maxim News): Himachal Pradesh governor Bandaru Dattatreya said on Thursday that the victory of good over evil was the essence of Vijaya Dasami festival. He made these remarks while addressing a gathering at the ‘Alai Balai’ program organised by him at jala Vihar in city.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the Dasara festival was a symbol of rich Telangana customs and practices. He said that he was happy that politicians cutting across party lines took part in his program. Dattatreya recalled that he had been organising the festival since the last 15 years. He said that bonalu and batukamma festivals were the pride of the Telangana society. He called upon the people of the state to teach about the rich Telengana traditions and culture to their upcoming generations in order to increase their knowledge.

Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan addressed the gathering in Telugu, leaving everyone in surprise.She advised the parents to take adequate care of their wards, and added that she was saying as a Doctor. She said that children should be kept away from burgers, chips and other junk foods.
