Kavitha Says Congress Will Lose Over Employee Issues

Hyderabad, Sept. 15 (Maxim News) : Telangana Rakshana Sena president Kalvakuntla Kavitha has said the Congress government in Telangana is certain to lose the next election.

Speaking at a conference on teachers’ and employees’ issues in Bagh Lingampally, Hyderabad, she alleged that the Revanth Reddy government was neglecting government employees and teachers.

Kavitha said governments that fought with employees had never returned to power.

She claimed employees and teachers were facing severe difficulties under the present government.

She said her party would come to power in the next election and promised to treat government employees as partners in development.

She also said the government would work to ensure employees feel respected and valued.

Kavitha flags shortage of permanent MEOs

Kavitha recalled the role of teachers during the Telangana movement. She said teachers had prioritised the movement over their jobs during that period.

She claimed Telangana has 630 mandals but only eight permanent Mandal Education Officers (MEOs).

According to her, the shortage reflects the government’s alleged neglect of the education system.

Kavitha stressed that strong educational administration is necessary to provide free and quality education.

She also criticised the workload on teachers, alleging that reporting and other requirements were keeping them away from classroom teaching.

She said the situation was particularly difficult in schools with only one teacher.

Kavitha further alleged that the government could not implement programmes without the cooperation of employees.

She also criticised the government over welfare schemes and claimed that pensions, urea supply and power for farmers were facing problems.

She alleged that the government had not acted on its pre-election assurances on the Pay Revision Commission (PRC) and Dearness Allowance (DA).
