DGP Urged To Take Spl Steps To Stop Atrocities On Women

Hyderabad, May 4 (Maxim News): TPCC Mahila wing state president Nerella Sharada on Saturday urged the DGP Mahender Reddy to take special steps for prevention of atrocities and violence committed against the innocent girls and women of the state.

She wrote a letter to the DGP and told him that atrocities and violent cases against women had gone up in the state after the formation of Telangana state. Referring to the recent case in which a psycho killer by name Srinivas Reddy from Hajipur village of Yadadri district killed several girls and women after committing rape on them, she said that the women were now scared of coming out of their houses in the state. She made ten demands to the DGP and urged him to fulfill all her demands in order to provide protection to the women of the state. She demanded the DGP to take steps for the establishment of special courts to dispose of cases related to the women at the earliest. She also demanded setting up of counselling Centers for girls and women of the state. (Maxim News)
