Hyderabad, July 10 (Maxim News): Telangana Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju on Friday directed officials to accelerate the execution of major industrial infrastructure projects, stressing that the State must focus on attracting investments, promoting industrial growth and creating large-scale employment opportunities.
Chairing a high-level review meeting with senior officials of the Industries and Commerce Department at the Secretariat, the Chief Secretary assessed the progress of key industrial projects being developed across Telangana.
The meeting focused on strengthening the State’s industrial ecosystem and ensuring timely completion of flagship infrastructure initiatives.
The review covered several strategic projects being implemented by the Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TGIIC), including Bharat Future City, Zaheerabad Industrial City, Kakatiya Mega Textile Park, and other industrial infrastructure developments.
TGIIC Managing Director Shashanka briefed the Chief Secretary on the current status of these projects, infrastructure development, investment prospects and implementation timelines.
Telangana Industrial Growth to Drive Investments and Employment
Sanjay Jaju said the Industries and Commerce Department should work with the clear objective of positioning Telangana as India’s preferred investment destination by providing world-class industrial infrastructure and a business-friendly ecosystem.
He observed that attracting both domestic and global investments is critical for sustaining Telangana’s economic growth while generating large-scale employment opportunities for the youth.
The Chief Secretary instructed officials to work in line with the government’s vision and ensure seamless coordination among all departments and implementing agencies. He emphasized that industrial projects should be completed without unnecessary delays through effective inter-departmental cooperation.
Focus on Timely Execution of Mega Industrial Projects
The Chief Secretary directed officials to continuously monitor the progress of ongoing projects, identify implementation bottlenecks at an early stage and resolve them through coordinated action.
He noted that flagship projects such as Bharat Future City, Zaheerabad Industrial City and the Kakatiya Mega Textile Park have the potential to transform Telangana’s industrial landscape by attracting major investments, strengthening manufacturing and promoting balanced regional development.
Jaju also asked officials to adopt a proactive approach in creating essential infrastructure and providing investor facilitation services to ensure the successful implementation of these projects.
He reiterated that faster project execution, investor-friendly policies and coordinated governance would help Telangana strengthen its position as a leading industrial and investment hub in the country.
