He spoke at a Meet the Press event at the Press Club Hyderabad. He said the Special Intensive Revision is underway to clean up the electoral rolls across the state.

According to Sudarshan Reddy, each voter will receive two copies of the Enumeration Form. Both copies must be filled correctly. One copy must be handed over to the BLO.

The second copy must be retained by the voter as acknowledgement. He stressed that submitting the form is the only way to ensure inclusion in the draft electoral roll.

Furthermore, the CEO clarified that even if a voter is unable to submit the form in time, they still have a remedy. If their name does not appear in the draft roll, they can submit Form 6 to get their name included. He added that voters can also fill the Enumeration Form online through the Election Commission’s official website.

The distribution of enumeration forms runs from June 25 to July 24, 2026.

Before any name is removed, the concerned voter must be formally notified. Only after due process can a name be deleted from the rolls.

Moreover, the CEO addressed specific concerns about ineligible voters. He said Rohingya individuals do not have the right to vote. They will not have SIR-2002 details on record. As a result, they will receive notices during the notice phase and will be filtered out through the legal process. He assured that eligible voters have nothing to fear from this procedure.

Furthermore, Sudarshan Reddy said the authorities are aware of complaints being raised against some BLOs. He assured that senior officials will be alerted immediately whenever such complaints arise.

He said online submission is available for those who find it difficult to meet the BLO in person. Voters facing issues can also call the toll-free Voter Helpline at 1950. (Maxim News)
