Maran cited Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s reported support for delimitation and questioned Congress leaders’ response.
He accused the party of taking different positions in Telangana and Tamil Nadu.
Maran raised the issue in a post on X and shared a press clipping of Revanth Reddy’s remarks.
Maran Questions Congress On Delimitation
The DMK MP questioned why Congress leaders were not challenging Revanth Reddy’s reported position.
He also criticised the Congress over its stand in Tamil Nadu.
The remarks came after a Tamil Nadu meeting on delimitation. The DMK boycotted the meeting, according to the report.
Maran asked why the Congress was opposing delimitation in Tamil Nadu while remaining silent in states where it governs.
He also questioned why Congress leaders were not raising the issue with their own Chief Minister.
The remarks add to the political debate among Opposition parties over the proposed delimitation exercise.
