Delhi/Hyderabad, Sept 11 (Maxim News): Civil Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu announced that talks with Russia have been expanded towards manufacturing aircraft in India.
He spoke to the media in Delhi on Thursday after meeting a Russian delegation. “It is known that state-owned Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Russia on manufacturing aircraft in the country. Turboprop IL-114 and Sukhoi Superjet-100 aircraft. They fit well into the regional connectivity scheme in India.
Many regional airports are going to be set up. It is very important to connect them. We are focusing on manufacturing these aircraft in the country as soon as possible,” he announced. (Maxim News)
