Dr. Mohammed Safiullah Assumes Charge as Director of Urdu Academy
- Senior officer joins on deputation from TGGENCO
- Brings prior experience from Telangana State Waqf Board
Dr. Mohammed Safiullah | Hyderabad, Sept. 9 (Maxim News): Dr. Mohammed Safiullah officially took charge as Director and Secretary of the Telangana Urdu Academy on Thursday morning.
He joined the post on deputation from Telangana State Power Generation Corporation (TGGENCO), where he had been serving as Deputy Secretary (Administration).
Dr. Safiullah comes with administrative experience in minority welfare institutions.

In the past, he worked as Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Telangana State Waqf Board for a period of eight months, from March to October 2021.
His tenure in the Waqf Board allowed him to gain hands-on exposure to minority welfare operations and policy implementation.
With his new role at the Urdu Academy, Dr. Safiullah is expected to contribute towards the promotion of Urdu language and cultural activities in Telangana.
The appointment reflects the government’s continued emphasis on strengthening institutions that cater to minority welfare and cultural development.
