Hyderabad, Sept. 17: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has directed Telangana to prepare fresh electoral rolls for two Graduates’ Constituencies ahead of elections due in March 2027.
The constituencies are Mahabubnagar Rangareddy Hyderabad and Warangal Khammam Nalgonda.
November 1, 2026, has been fixed as the qualifying date for enrolment.
According to the schedule issued by the Telangana Chief Electoral Officer, the enrolment notice will be issued on September 28.
The notice will be republished in newspapers on October 15 and 25.
ECI Sets Timeline for Telangana Graduate Voter Rolls
Eligible graduates can apply online through the Telangana CEO website or submit modified Form 18.
Applications can be submitted to the EROs, AEROs and designated officers in person.
Applicants can also send the forms by post to the concerned election officials.
The deadline for submitting applications is November 6.
Telangana Chief Electoral Officer C Sudharsan Reddy said the rolls are being prepared afresh.
Therefore, existing voters in the two constituencies must also submit fresh applications.
Each application must include authenticated copies of the required documents and certificates.
Reddy said merely referring to an existing electoral roll entry will not establish eligibility.
The manuscript preparation and printing of draft rolls will be completed by November 20.
The draft electoral rolls will be published on November 25.
Claims and objections can be filed from November 25 to December 10.
Officials will dispose of the claims and objections by December 25.
The final electoral rolls are scheduled for publication on December 30.
The fresh roll preparation comes ahead of the biennial elections to the two Telangana Legislative Council Graduates’ Constituencies scheduled for March 2027.
