Farmer Attempts To Suicide In Front Of The Assembly
Hyderabad, Aug 5 (Maxim News): A commotion broke out in front of the Telangana Assembly. A man suddenly tried to commit suicide by pouring petrol in front of the Assembly. The alert police stopped by splashing water.
The person who attempted suicide was identified by the police as a farmer of Chandanavelli village of Shabad Mandal of Ranga Reddy district. When he tried to set fire by pouring petrol near the gun park, he was stopped by the security personnel and taken to the Saifabad police station.
Annadata (farmer) complained that he was treated unfairly in land acquisition. He said that despite the acquisition of 2000 acres of land, the government has not yet paid him compensation. He expressed his grief that the government did not pay attention to it. (Maxim News)
