Finance Minister Harish Rao Refutes Congress party’s Allegations

Hyderabad, March 15 (Maxim News): Finance Minister T Harish Rao today slammed Congress member Komati Reddy Rajagopal Reddy for his charges on the government.

The minister took exception to the comments of Rajagopal Reddy that the government was giving priority to irrigation systems in North Telangana state and ignoring those in Nalgonda district.

It may be noted here that During the ongoing budget session, the Congress member criticised the Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao for showing partisan attitude on completing irrigation projects in the undivided Nalgonda district. Both Reddy and Rai the were involved in heated exchange of words over irrigation and development works during the discussions . Harish said that the Congress can make constructive criticism and avoid vague comments. We want the congress play a good role instead of making false comments Rao said.

The government is committed to complete irrigation systems in all areas and there is no negligence, he clarified.

Rajagopal Reddy expressed displeasure for not allowing him to talk on how development took a back seat in Nalgonda district. Reddy further asked to know whether the government will complete the irrigation systems in old Nalgonda district irrigation not.

On this, Harish Rao said that the government will complete the same to boost agriculture production. Harish claimed that the TRS regime gave safe waters to fluoride hit areas in the Nalgonda district. The minister flayed that the Congress and TD rules ignored the plight of people with crippled limbs. (Maxim News)
